OUTDOOR EDUCATION

Michindoh's outdoor education school meets the academic content standards and benchmarks in science for Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, for 1st-7th grades. A wide variety of classes and activities are available to accomplish the educational and recreational goals set for your students. Michindoh offers 3 to 5 day resident, environmental school programs in which the students stay at our facility.

Michindoh's resident Outdoor Education School was established in the February of 1991. Situated on 250 forested acres containing streams, wetlands, and spring-fed Weatherwood Lake, Michindoh's location and facilities provide the perfect place to explore nature and learn about the outdoors. Our facilities provide excellent hotel style accommodations for the school faculty attending the programs, and comfortable cabins for students, which include their own bathrooms and showers. Delicious meals are served buffet-style in our modern dining facility. Our students enjoy the beauty and wonder of nature, the fun of a field trip, the education of school, and the comforts of a modern retreat center.
