Get ready for the summer of a lifetime! Michindoh offers more than just a summer job, but our goal is to offer a valuable experience to everyone who serves on our staff team. To us, you are not just a means to an end. At Michindoh we want to invest in you and your journey. We offer competitive pay, an intentional-developed passionate Christ-centered community, skill & leadership advancement opportunities, free room and board, and friendships that will last a lifetime.
Working in a camping ministry environment is challenging. Why? Because, by accepting the challenge, you will be placing yourself in the middle of an organization that is passionately pursuing God and following His footsteps. God rarely walks the easy path. There will be struggles, and yet they will pale in comparison to the victories, both in your own life, and the lives of those we joyfully minister to. And, of course, you will never be alone, but you will be surrounded by a community of love and support who will always have your back. Together, we will have the best summer ever!
Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. - 1 Peter 4:9-11
"As an employee at Michindoh Conference Center, I was surrounded by a supportive, loving group of people that were at camp to serve God. The whole team at Michindoh was amazing in how they cared for each other and this created a joyful atmosphere that included everyone. The best part of working at Michindoh was how FUN the team made the whole summer. From watching fireworks as a cabin, to the endless games, it was always a blast. Michindoh was also very caring and gracious in giving their counselors a break in the middle of the day as well as weekends off. This is something I really appreciated as I learned that this is not always the case at other summer camps. By the time summer was over, Michindoh felt like home and I am so grateful for the opportunity and the many friends I made while I was there."
"Michindoh has given me experience that will benefit me enormously in my future. Genuinely, there is no experience that challenges and strengthens your character, interpersonal skills, and enthusiasm like working in summer camp ministry. In all of my interviews, I have been able to answer those difficult questions with confidence because of all the experiences Michindoh gave me. I served in four different roles during my time at Michindoh, and as a result, my resume is diverse and strong compared to most other people my age. If you are looking to go into a job that deals principally with people, definitely spend your summer working at a camp."
